About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Brand Communications to lead the development and execution of eBay's global brand narrative. This role will define how eBay shows up in culture translating our purpose, innovation, and customer-centric values into compelling stories that drive awareness, affinity, and trust.
The ideal candidate is a creative, strategic, and seasoned communicator who thrives on connecting brand strategy with consumer insights and earned media storytelling. The ideal candidate has some experience with live commerce. This leader will partner closely with the Business Units, Marketing, Creative, and regional PR teams to deliver breakthrough work that enhances eBay's brand reputation.
What You'll Accomplish
Lead Brand Storytelling : Define and evolve eBay's brand narrative to reflect our purpose and differentiation across consumer audiences.
Develop Integrated Campaigns : Build and execute innovative, cross-channel communications campaigns that elevate brand visibility and strengthen marketplace consideration.
Partner Across Functions : Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, and Business Units to align storytelling with brand campaigns and product initiatives. Drive Earned Media Impact : Cultivate strong media relationships and deliver coverage that showcases eBay's relevance in culture, innovation, and purpose.
Manage Global Agency Partners : Lead agency partners in concepting and delivering high-impact campaigns that reinforce eBay's global brand positioning.
Enhance Reputation : Support proactive and reactive communications strategies that uphold eBay's integrity and leadership in the marketplace.
What You'll Bring
810 years of experience in brand, consumer, or corporate communications, ideally across both agency and in-house roles.
Proven success in building and leading integrated communications strategies for global brands.
Strong media and influencer relationships across business, culture, and lifestyle verticals.
Deep understanding of consumer insights, cultural trends, and how to connect them to brand storytelling.
Ability to influence and partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams in a matrixed global organization.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a creative and strategic mindset.
Travel : Occasional travel required for events, shoots, and team collaboration.
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below :
$162,000 - $216,300
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department / team performance, and market factors.
