We will rely on you to :
- Support senior investment consultants in managing a portfolio of clients on a day-to-day basis managing and tracking ongoing actions, preparation for Investment Committee and Trustee Meetings, providing proactive advice and recommendations on a range of investment-related issues.
- Preparation of quarterly Aspire reports and other Aspire client material; preparation of bespoke reporting for non-Aspire, DC clients.
- Involvement in and taking full ownership of project work as required, for example implementing investment-related changes for our DC clients.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of Mercer’s best ideas, investment capabilities and solutions in order to provide best advice and communicate effectively to clients.
- Liaising with colleagues across business lines to achieve successful investment outcomes for our clients.
What you will need to have :
- Understanding of pensions, investment markets and asset classes.
- Client-focussed in every aspect of work; ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Comfortable presenting to a group of Trustees and dealing with senior people.
- Proactive and goal-orientated approach; ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong attention-to-detail.
- Project management skills; proven ability to manage simultaneous projects and to meet multiple deadlines.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Desire to achieve efficiencies in ongoing work.
- Strong organisational skills in a bid to manage timelines effectively.
- Strong technical skills and problem-solving ability; strong IT skills (in particular a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
