Job description

Summary / Objective :

  • The Vice President of Account Management will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving business growth with key accounts.
  • This senior leader will develop strategic account management initiatives, collaborate cross-functionally to improve service delivery, retention, and revenue expansion.
  • The VP will act as a primary advocate for key clients, aligning their needs with our service capabilities while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow existing accounts, identify new opportunities, and maximize revenue potential.
  • Work closely with operations, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery and operational excellence.
  • Establish a strategic account plan, expand client relationships, track client performance metrics, and provide regular reports on account health and business growth.
  • Proactively address client concerns, troubleshoot challenges, and implement solutions to enhance customer experience.
  • Oversee contract renewals, pricing strategies, and service level agreements to optimize business outcomes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer expectations to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrate to comply with Custom Goods’ Core Behaviors : Servant Leadership Passion for Excellence Integrity Resilient Intense Safety Focus Trust Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (MBA preferred). 10+ years of experience in account management, client services, or business development within the 3PL, transportation, or logistics industry.
  • Proven track record of driving client satisfaction, revenue growth, and retention.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing complex enterprise relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Familiarity with logistics technology platforms, transportation management systems (TMS), and warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
