Overview
Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering - Renewable Contract Research Associate Professor (non-tenure-track) at the rank of Associate Professor in Water Resources Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Develop a high-impact research program in Water Resources Engineering.
- Translate research into operations and applications; write competitive proposals to obtain external funding.
- Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students; participate in thesis / dissertation committees.
- Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
- Contribute to department activities including seminars, collaboration, safety culture, and service roles.
Minimum Qualifications
Earned Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.Demonstrated research record and impactful scholarly publications in refereed venues.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to construct and sustain a quality research program.Applicants must also meet all university criteria for appointment to the rank of Renewable Contract Research Associate Professor.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a faculty member or equivalent in an academic / research setting.Experience in operational hydrology applications.Strong national / international recognition for high-quality research and publications.Scholarly work spanning undergraduate and graduate programs in civil engineering or related fields.Post-doctoral experience or similar post-graduate experience.Progress toward licensure or professional certification (FE or PE).Exceptional collegial, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.Application Materials
