Job Title : Construction Scheduler

Client isseeking a highly motivated Electrical Construction Supervisor withan interest in Project Management as a ConstructionProject Scheduler to support the business goals andobjectives of Client.
As a scheduler you will work closely with ourconstruction team project manager and operations to develop theoverall schedule of project completion.
You will be responsible forbuilding and updating schedules at various milestones as projectdeliverables are completed and as scopes of work are added to aproject and to provide updates to key team members on the progressof project completion.
Requirements
- 7years of experience on large commercial or industrial constructionprojects
- 2 years of scheduling experience incritical path management with a demonstrated history of successfulschedule compression and mitigation efforts
- Excellent written and verbal communication presentationskills
- Advanced knowledge of constructiontechnology codes and standards and an indepth understanding of theinterdependence and relationship between other functionalunits
- Working knowledge of standard costcontrol methods utilized in execution of various types of projects(EPC Construction Management Design Build Time and Material andMaintenance)
Responsibilities
- Work closely with preconstruction teams project managerssuperintendents contractors and other project services staff toprovide detailed planning and scheduling of projects fromconceptual planning through engineering and construction
- Develop resource and cost loaded schedules includinglists of activities major milestones critical approvals long leadprocurement items and other critical project deliverables to bescheduled and tracked for the projects
- Developschedule logic and constraints realistic activity durations andavailable resources
- Assess the impact ofdesign changes and schedule slippages. Inform Leadership of allschedule updates
- Apply knowledge ofengineering procurement construction terminology and concepts todevelop and maintain critical path logic networks
- Accumulate and access historical data for use inmaintaining realistic future planning and forecasting
- Provide guidance direction and specialized assistance forthe resolution of difficult project control problems
- May interface with clients attend regular meetings andgive statistical reports
- Travel to projectssites and other client offices as needed to participate in projectmeetings develop schedules of project completion and updateschedules to identify work completed at the projectsites
