Overview
Project Manager, Architecture - Land Development
Westwood Professional Services, Inc.
Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Architectural Project Manager to join our Land Development team. The Architectural Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities of each designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing duties personally or through subordinates. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Consults with client to determine project requirements
- Conducts site visits and oversees production of as-builts and record drawings
- Layout of project and integrating engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval
- Prepares scale drawings and contract documents for building contractors
- Prepares and files project documentation and transmittals
- Administers construction contracts and periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
- Performs shop drawing review
- Prepares and reviews project proposal or plan to understand contracted time frame, fees, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project
- Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for assignment of personnel
- Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
- Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required
- Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
- Coordinates project activities with client, contractor and government regulatory agencies
- Understands and promotes site safety requirements for construction sites
