St.Martin's Episcopal School is recruiting camp counselors to work for our GeorgeCottage Summer Camp 2024 season. The George Cottage Summer Camp Counselor mustbe available from June 3, 2024 - August 2, 2022.
There will also be training onJune 1st before the start of camp on June 3. Mealsare provided to camp counselors at no extra cost to counselors.
First and foremost, counselors are responsible for the safetyand well-being of all campers. At all times, a Counselor should presentthemselves as positive role models and be enthusiastic.
Counselors are expectedto maintain open lines of communication with the Director(s) and to workcooperatively with other counselors.
Being a camp counselor is one of the mostrewarding jobs you can ever have. We are looking for people to join ourdedicated team.
Our people are our lifeblood and go everywhere with ourcampers.
You will report to the Summer Camp Director(s) and tend to campersthat range from 8 weeks of age - 4 years old. You will have daily interactionswith other counselors, campers, parents / caregivers of campers, and all StM staffthat work on campus during the summer.
Regular Camp hours ofoperation for the children are Monday through Friday from 7 : 30 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m.
Job Description :
- Be available during the entire camp day 7 : 30 am - 3 : 30 pm
- Model goodsportsmanship during all activities
- Teach allskills through participating or by working with small groups
- Supervisemorning drop-off and afternoon dismissal
- Maintaindiscipline during each activity and lead the group between activities in an orderlymanner
- Follow andadminister StM George Cottage Camp policy
- Keep accurateattendance records each morning
- Supervise lunchby remaining with your group at all times
- Attendcounselor meetings as scheduled
- Attend MANDATORYcounselor training
Qualifications :
- 17 years or older of age - mandatory per Louisiana State Licensingrequirements
- Childcare : 1year (Preferred)
- First AidCertification (Preferred)
- CPRCertification (Preferred)
