Supply Chain Analyst

New Bern, NC / Full-time

Your responsibilities

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for material management and component availability to support the factory production schedules of finished goods, in-house production, customer service assemblies and accessories.

The procurement of components is managed through calculations, analysis, and communication through scheduling agreements, notifications and vendor interaction.

The Supply Chain Analyst optimizes and develops all different facets of the supply chain to improve delivery and cost through structured problem solving and leading improvement projects.

The position responsibility requires monitoring of vendor performance to ensure adequate delivery fulfillment and timely shipments.

Delivery and inventory requirements are based on developed inventory and lean manufacturing strategies, targeting calculated cost optimization versus material availability and inventory coverage.

For example : the daily work requires structured problem solving, root cause analysis and project lead responsibilities, in order to continuously improve communication automation / digitalization, delivery lead times, inventory optimization and cost improvement / savings of materials from the global vendor base.

In addition the responsibilities involve, process development, material flow understanding, Total Cost of Ownership calculations and analyses, phase-in / phase-out process coordination, and optimization responsibility.

  • Material Supply Planning :
  • Utilize Supply Chain Management strategies for proactive material planning, ensuring timely delivery to meet demand requirements while managing costs effectively.
  • Lead efforts to improve supply base performance by enhancing delivery reliability, flexibility, and optimizing inventory management.
  • Establish supplier terms, conditions, and business requirements, actively participating in supplier selection processes.
  • Problem Solving :
  • Perform comprehensive root cause analysis by examining inventory levels, supplier performance data, and demand forecasts to uncover underlying issues.
  • Engage collaboratively in solution-finding, evaluating strategies such as long-term inventory optimization and strengthening supplier relationships to effectively address identified root causes while prioritizing the sustainability of implemented measures.
  • Project Lead :
  • Drive company-wide Systems Continuous Improvement Projects.
  • Take a proactive leadership role in both cross-functional internal and external initiatives aimed at improving key performance indicators, optimizing inventory management, managing phase-in and phase-out of SKUs, and enhancing supplier performance.
  • Communication :
  • Cultivate collaboration by maintaining effective communication with cross-functional teams and suppliers
  • Clearly articulate supply chain requirements, share relevant information, and actively engage stakeholders in problem-solving discussions to ensure alignment and facilitate decision-making.

Your profile

  • 4 Year Degree Required
  • Master’s Degree Preferred
  • Certificate Supply Chain (ex : APICS) Preferred
  • Certificate Project Management Preferred
  • 3-5 Years Manufacturing / Production Work Environment - Required
  • Proficient in SCM, particularly in materials planning and inventory management.
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of accountability in fast-paced team environments, adept at anticipating and adapting to production challenges to meet customer needs.
  • Possesses exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail, enabling proactive and independent resolution of complex issues.
  • Embraces an improvement mindset and is committed to continuous learning, actively sharing acquired knowledge and insights with the team.
  • Shows exceptional verbal and written communication abilities to improve productive collaboration across organizational departments and effectively negotiate with external vendors.
  • Support project teams in optimizing processes, inventory, developing suppliers, and improving cost-saving positions
  • Skilled in data analytics and visualization tools to enhance transparency and facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Advanced proficiency in MRP / ERP systems like SAP or other Business Applications

Your Pay & Benefits

The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location.

If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
