Fotona is seeking a highly skilled Vice President of Finance to lead U.S. financial strategy, drive business performance, and oversee all accounting and FP&A functions.
This role will serve as a key business partner to the executive team, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on operational management.
The ideal candidate brings proven excellence across controllership, FP&A, and team leadership , with the ability to scale financial processes and provide insights that support profitable, sustainable growth. This position is based in our Irving, Texas office, with flexibility for some hybrid or remote work as business needs allow.
Key Responsibilities Provide executive oversight of all U.S. accounting, FP&A, and financial operations to ensure effective P&L management and long-term financial health.
Lead and mentor a team of analysts and accountants; ensure alignment, development, and execution of financial priorities.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting; deliver strategic insights that enable data-driven decision-making.
Implement strong internal controls and scalable processes that support operational excellence, compliance, and growth.
Partner with external auditors and regulatory agencies; leverage Big 5 experience to drive accuracy and best-in-class financial reporting.
Offer proactive financial guidance to senior leadership, influencing corporate strategy, resource allocation, and investment decisions.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across finance and cross-functional partners.
Support integration and optimization across business units, ensuring clarity, alignment, and strong financial communication.
Ideal Candidate Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; MBA or CPA strongly preferred. 7+ years of progressive finance leadership spanning controllership and FP&A, including direct management of finance teams.
Successful history leading teams in evolving environments from large, structured organizations to agile, high-growth settings.
Demonstrated experience working in both public and private companies.
Private Equity experience preferred.
Prior experience at a Big 5 accounting firm is strongly preferred.
Background in regulated industries; medical device or healthcare sector experience is a plus.
Expertise in building and scaling financial processes, optimizing performance, and driving strategic outcomes.
Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills with executive presence.
