Senior Accountant

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant is a critical hands-on role responsible for the full spectrum of day-to-day accounting operations. The Senior Accountant will take ownership of transactional processing, month-end close, and financial reporting support. This is a high-impact position with visibility across the organization.

Responsibilities :

Own day-to-day accounting operations including :

• Accounts Payable including bill coding, approvals, vendor payments, purchasing support, new vendor setup, and 1099 preparation
• Accounts Receivable including importing invoices, applying customer payments, and managing collections
• Cash management including tracking and reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts
• Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries as needed
• Lead and execute the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate results
• Prepare monthly financial statements and internal reporting packages in collaboration with the Controller
• Support budget-to-actual analysis and provide insightful variance explanations
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Assist with accounting system optimization and ongoing maintenance (e.g., Sage Intacct)
• Provide support on special projects, ad hoc reporting, and strategic initiatives as needed
• Serve as a resource for other accounting and financial reporting functions within the organization
