Controller
CFS is working with a local employer in the construction / architecture / engineering space seeking a Controller to join their team.

Responsibilities :
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the financial function, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
- Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with the firm's overall business goals and objectives.
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team to provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support informed decision-making.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage relationships with key financial institutions, including banks, investors, and insurance companies.
- Oversee the external audit process and maintain strong internal controls.
- Identify and implement strategies to optimize cash flow, profitability, and return on investment.
- Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging financial technologies to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Oversee project cost accounting systems and billing practices to ensure project profitability.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, CPA license is a plus.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in a controller or senior accounting role, including experience within the architecture, engineering, or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
Base Salary : 130,000 - 160,000
