In this paid internship, you'll be empowered to work on challenging and complex issues in a collaborative environment with other talented interns. Over the 10-week program, you'll participate in business projects, mentoring, leadership development training and team-building activities designed to set you up for professional success. The summer Internship program runs June through August, with flexible dates available, based on school schedules. We're looking for individuals who are passionate and entrepreneurial, just like our clients. Specifically, we're looking for top-performers interested in pursuing careers in Commercial Banking. The intern will be a team member of the Product Controller team, which is part of the broader Finance and Accounting organization at Western Alliance Bank. The department reports to the Chief Accounting Officer and is responsible for recording journal entries to the general ledger, reconciling general ledger and subledger balances, analyzing financial results, and ensuring Sarbanes Oxley controls are performed in a timely manner. Each of these processes contributes to complete and accurate reporting in the bank's financial statements and regulatory reports.

What you'll need :

• Undergraduate students currently enrolled in a related field of study.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.
• An interest in working in the Commercial Business Banking industry.
• To be eligible for this program, you must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. We do not offer any type of employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program.
