Objective and Position Summary : Case Managers (CMs) provide comprehensive services of CPLC's YouthBuild program to program participants. CMs will support, encourage, and guide clients to increase the success of goals and objectives and a healthy outlook on life. This is an onsite position.

CMs are responsible for outreach and recruitment, coaching of the Individual Service Strategy (ISS), providing occupational and skills training, coordinating services provided by Adult Basic Education providers and other educators as part of the YouthBuild program requirements, and coordinating supportive services and follow-up / retention services. Communicate regularly with educators, mentors, and other professionals, generate reports, and produce and maintain comprehensive online and / or physical case files.

Minimum Qualifications And Competencies

Education / Background :

• Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field and two years of experience in casework management, working with youth, or related activities;
• Any other equivalent combinations of experience, education and training which provide the ability to perform job duties;
• Knowledge of social services and workforce-related agencies and programs available in the community;
• Effective coaching techniques and procedures;
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, public speaking, problem-solving, analytical skills, multi-tasking, organizational skills, leadership, and time management;
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Office365 (Preferred);
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license and able to drive participants on occasion;
• Have the cultural competency to engage effectively with youth and their families;
• Lead with vulnerability to cultivate trust;
• See participants as the future of our city, state, and our nation;
• Understand and commit to the principles of Servant Leadership.
