Promethean Builders is looking for a sharp, experienced Senior Estimator who doesn’t just crunch numbers but thinks critically, asks the right questions, and helps us build smarter. You’ll be hands-on from day one,  leading takeoffs, managing the bid process in Procore, analyzing drawings, pricing out real scopes, and identifying what others miss. From conceptual budgets to final numbers, you’ll own the process and shape the deals we go after. You’ll be collaborating with project teams, engaging with subs, joining site visits, and weighing in on strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and oversight of detailed material takeoffs, drawings, and quantity surveys.
• Manage the bidding process using Procore and ensure adherence to internal estimating procedures.
• Analyze contract documents and scope changes to assess impact and determine cost implications.
• Prepare conceptual and detailed cost models, including rationale statements that highlight assumptions, risks, and value drivers.
• Conduct estimate validations using historical data, vendor pricing, and benchmarking tools.
• Create and maintain standardized templates, scopes of work, and leveling sheets to ensure consistency across bids.
• Attend pre-construction meetings and translate discussions into actionable estimating strategies.
• Collaborate with project teams to manage the time and cost of preconstruction services within approved budgets.
• Build and maintain a current, competitive vendor and subcontractor database to support pricing accuracy.
• Coordinate procurement and pre-purchase activities, evaluating offers to secure the most advantageous agreements.
• Contribute to process improvements by developing tools, formats, and workflows that enhance departmental output.
