Special Procedures Technician II -Norwalk Hospital ECG

Title : Special Procedures Technician - Norwalk Hospital ECG - Full time / 40 hours per week, 8 hour shifts, 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm, Monday - Friday.

Summary : Provide Complete Testing Analysis and Report Generation for ECG's, Performs All Non-invasive Cardiology Testing Including Holter Monitors , Standard Cardiac Stress Tests, Nuclear Stress Tests Stress MIBI an Persantine Stress, Tilt Table Testing, Signal Averaged ECG's and Long Term Bp Monitoring, Event Monitor Se-ups, in Addition Must Be Able to Assist With All Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures.

Responsibilities :

1. Performs Stat ECG's And Assists Other Staff In Training. Provides Quality Tracing Of ECG's For Interpretation By The Section's Cardiologists. Edits ECG And Faxes Results When Necessary. Performs Stat ECG's And Assists Other Staff In Training And Performing ECG's. Downloads ECG's Into Muse System. Lectures To PCT's And Nurses On The Performance Of ECG's To The Specification Of The Section.

2. Performs Nuclear Stress Tests, Stress MIBI's And Persantine Stress Tests. Performs Testing To The Satisfaction Of The Physician & Assures Patient Safety.

3. Treats Patients With Respect, Courteousness And Dignity

4. Performs Holter Set-up And Analysis. Assists With All Procedures In The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory & Assists With Right And Left Coronary Angiography.

5. Assists With All Procedures In The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.

6. Assists With Permanent Pacemaker Insertions Procedures Including Biventricular And AICD To The Satisfaction Of The Nurse Supervisor.

7. Assists With Cardioversion Assists With All Procedures In The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Assists With Monitoring Patients Post Procedures.

8. Performs QA / CQI.  Performs All Services With The Ultimate Outcome Of Improving Patient Satisfaction.

9. Attends Department Meeting And Inservice Performs QA / CQI. Performs QA Monitoring As Required.

10. Performs Other Duties As Assigned.

11. Fulfills All Compliance Responsibilities Related To The Position.

Other Information :

Required : High School Graduate or Equivalent. Experience In Non-invasive Cardiology Testing, And Cath Lab Procedures. Certified In Basic Life Support

Minimum Experience : Two Years

Salary Range : $28.78 - $53.45 Hourly (Pay Rate Per Years Of Relative Experience)
