We are seeking Kirghiz (Kyrgyz) Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Kirghiz is a Turkic language spoken in Kyrgyzstan and across Central Asia and is a high-priority language in asylum, refugee, and immigration cases.

Position

Kirghiz (Kyrgyz) Over-the-Phone Interpreter (OPI) for USCIS. This is a remote role supporting federal contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Kirghiz (Kyrgyz) English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
• Interpret accurately, impartially, and professionally in immigration and asylum contexts.
• Maintain confidentiality in line with USCIS / DHS interpreter ethics and standards.
• Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent / surge interpretation requests.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
