Position Responsibilities : Strategic Leadership : Develop and communicate the strategic vision, goals, and objectives for the commercial and clinical manufacturing procurement function, aligning with the organization's overall mission and strategic priorities.

Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive procurement strategies for contract manufacturing-related categories, including raw materials, packaging, equipment, API and Drug Product contract manufacturing services, Clinical manufacturing and logistics.

Provide strategic guidance and direction to procurement team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Supplier Relationship Management : Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and partners to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply chain for manufacturing operations.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and finance, to understand their requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly.

Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers to optimize costs, mitigate risks, and ensure quality and compliance.

Procurement Excellence : Establish and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures for the commercial and clinical manufacturing procurement function, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and corporate governance.

Lead procurement initiatives to optimize costs, improve efficiency, and drive value across the manufacturing supply chain, while maintaining high-quality standards and mitigating risks.

Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and digital transformation within the procurement function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Performance Management : Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of commercial and clinical manufacturing procurement activities.

Monitor and analyze procurement performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and take corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications and Skills Required : Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.

Master's degree or MBA preferred. Minimum of 12 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with significant experience in manufacturing procurement roles, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

Proven track record of success in leadership positions, with demonstrated ability to develop and execute procurement strategies that drive business results.

Strong negotiation skills and experience negotiating complex contracts and agreements with suppliers and partners. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable procurement plans and initiatives. Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office suite. Procurement category experience in other areas within the business is preferred.

Requirements : Position will be expected to report to either the Waltham or Conshohocken Madrigal offices on a hybrid basis.

Travel requirements up to 30-40%. Based on business needs Compensation : Base salary is determined by several factors that include, but are not limited to, a successful candidate's qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs, and market demands.

The role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits, which include flexible paid time off (PTO), medical, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance.
