Pay Rate: $25/hr
1st shift, 6 am-4:00 pm, Monday-Thursday
What’s a typical day as a CNC Programmer Technician? You’ll be:
- Developing, programming, and optimizing CNC machines (including press brakes, punch presses, and laser cutting systems) for precision sheet metal fabrication
- Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to select tools and machining parameters
- Troubleshooting machine and programming issues, performing setup and calibrations, and maintaining quality standards
- Collaborating with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve processes and ensure efficient, accurate, and safe machining operations
- Maintaining organized documentation of programs, revisions, and accurate production records
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have proven experience programming CNC equipment in a sheet metal fabrication environment (must have)
- Are knowledgeable in G-code and/or CAD/CAM software, and can adjust DXF flats as needed
- Have the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Are familiar with metal fabrication processes, tooling setups, and manufacturing safety standards
- Possess mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- (Preferred) Experience with Trumpf software systems and lean manufacturing principles
Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions. Must be able to work in a noisy environment with exposure to fumes or dust, utilizing proper safety precautions.
