Key Responsibilities
· Design and build core components of Stellar Core
· Develop robust, scalable, and extensible systems for a global blockchain network
· Collaborate on new architectures and subsystems with senior engineers and open-source contributors
· Write clean, maintainable, and future-proof C++ code with strong edge-case analysis
· Own and evolve critical subsystems within Stellar Core
· Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks
· Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and engineering best practices
· Author detailed technical specifications and protocol RFCs
Required Profile
· 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
· Strong academic background in computer science or equivalent
· Deep expertise writing modern C++ in production environments
· Strong communicator able to lead technical discussions and reviews
· Solid understanding of software design patterns and modular system design
· Direct experience in blockchain, crypto protocols, or demonstrated active participation in Web3 communities
Bonus Experience
· Experience designing and implementing distributed systems
· Strong curiosity and understanding of blockchain and crypto fundamentals
· Rust experience is a plus, though C++ is the primary language
