Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configure system settings and options; executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and assists in creating specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Embedded Software Engineer to develop software for both our Masterflex peristaltic pumps and the automated equipment used to test them (EOL testers). You will be involved in the full software lifecycle-from concept and development to deployment and maintenance-working on both firmware inside the pumps and external testing systems.

Key Responsibilities

Develop embedded software and firmware for Masterflex pumps and End-of-Line (EOL) test systems.

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, following Agile practices : requirements, architecture, design, implementation, testing, and release.

Write high-quality, maintainable code for our pump electromechanical systems.

Conduct design and code reviews to ensure best practices for performance, safety, and maintainability are followed.

Analyze and troubleshoot system-level issues and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to ensure product functionality and reliability.

Support risk analysis and contribute to regulatory documentation as needed.

Maintain version control using Git and adhere to structured software development processes.

Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and technologies.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering , Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Proficiency in C or C++ for embedded systems development.

Expertise in at least one of the following areas :

Control Systems (e.g., PID, robotics)

Signal Processing

Networking (TCP / IP)

Familiarity with serial communication protocols such as UART , SPI , or I2C .

Willingness to learn new programming languages and technologies as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or 3+ years of industry experience in embedded software development.

Python or scripting experience for automation and testing.

Experience with automated test equipment or EOL testers is a plus.

Exposure to RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems) and / or Embedded Linux .

Experience with PLC systems or industrial communication protocols such as EtherNet / IP or PROFINET .

Pay Transparency :

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

77,300.00 - $128,700.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
