Job Summary
The Junior Financial Analyst will join the U.S. Tax Operations team responsible for fulfilling tax reporting obligations for the firm s Wealth Management and Institutional clients. The role supports cost basis reporting through the Gain & Loss department and involves working with various operational teams to ensure compliance with IRS regulations. This position plays a key role in data analysis, reconciliation, and testing of financial systems, with an emphasis on detail, accuracy, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Gain & Loss reporting by maintaining accurate cost basis records for client accounts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional operations teams to resolve data discrepancies and ensure regulatory compliance
- Assist with reconciliation between internal processing systems.
- Participate in user testing and requirement gathering for strategic tax and financial platform initiatives.
- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting, including cost basis and withholding.
- Address internal and external inquiries related to tax operations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the financial industry.Strong understanding of general accounting principles.Familiarity with database and spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel and Access.Knowledge of process controls and data modeling techniques.Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize effectively and meet strict deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.High attention to detail and commitment to quality.Preferred Qualifications
