Payroll Technician
We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Technician for immediate hire. The selected candidate will handle all routine payroll activities for our company to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate payment to employees, in compliance with all various regulatory requirements. This position requires dependability, confidentiality, and a thorough understanding of the payroll process.
Responsibilities :
- Process and manage company payroll every pay period.
- Ensure the accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits.
- Reconcile payroll data and rectify any discrepancies.
- Prepare and issue employee statements for each pay cycle.
- Document and update all payroll records.
- Respond to any payroll related enquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
- Train other staff members on preparing and processing payroll.
- Maintain knowledge of current tax and deduction laws.
- Generate reports for upper management and finance department.
- Assist in the development and implementation of payroll procedures and policies.
Requirements :
Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.Proven experience as a payroll technician or similar role.Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.Proficiency with payroll software.Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.Ability to deal with confidential information.Knowledge of legislation relevant to accounting and payroll.Strong communication skills, both written and oral.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.Our company is committed to diversity and equal opportunity.
