Position Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Lead and Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. This role will primarily focus on managing payroll processes while also supporting general accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management, experience with ADP, experience in a multi-state environment and familiarity with benefits and leave of absence (LOA) regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Process semi-monthly payroll using ADP, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Process payroll information related to stock-based compensation to ensure earnings and tax information is accurately reported to taxing jurisdictions.
- Manage payroll-related workstreams, including but not limited to, salary adjustments, bonuses, and deductions.
- Work with ADP and the Edgewise legal department to ensure that proper state registrations occur for employees hired in new states.
- Record payroll journal entries in NetSuite, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations for payroll-related items, such as accrued bonuses, vacation pay, and other payroll liabilities.
- Collaborate with HR to manage leave of absence (LOA) processes, ensuring accurate payroll adjustments and compliance with policies.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll reports for management and auditors.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay updated on payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Read, understand, and comply with all workplace health and safety policies; safe work practices; and company policies and procedures.
- Meet with new employees to introduce them to payroll processes at Edgewise.
- Coordinate onboarding new vendors by creating vendor records in NetSuite, managing vendor intake forms and W-9s to obtain information from vendors.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements :
Education, Experience, Skills :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.Minimum [3+ years] of experience in payroll processing and general accounting.Proficient in ADP payroll systems and ERP systems similar to NetSuite.Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, including taxation and reporting requirements.Experience with managing leave of absence (LOA) processes and related payroll adjustments.Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Salary range : $80,000-$100,000, title and salary commensurate with experience
