Regional Corporate Commercial Principal

HDR is looking for a Regional Corporate Commercial Principal to join our Building Engineering Services Group. This position will be based in Manhattan, NY. As we continue to grow, this individual will function as a Client Development Lead for the Corporate Commercial and Finance market sectors. Primary responsibilities will include a variety of duties ranging from fostering client relationships, supporting annual planning, leading pursuits, and providing oversight for project teams. These facilities projects span a myriad of types in the Corporate Commercial and Financial market sector focused on premier clients in the Northeastern Area. They will be expected to lead project teams in marketing and securing project wins. They must have a passion for client service and leveraging the full suite of HDR's integrated service offerings to provide exceptional value to key clients. On a day-to-day basis, they'll be expected to :

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with multiple clients, beginning with pre-positioning activities, continuing through the life of project execution and beyond for future work
  • Maintain an active and visible presence in the Corporate Commercial and Finance market sectors to help drive growth and sales
  • Identify new opportunities in the Corporate Commercial and Finance market sectors and lead strategy for development and execution of client and pursuit capture planning
  • Collaborate with leadership team in strategic planning, alignment, and advancement of key market sector initiatives within the region
  • Serve as Project Director or Project Principal as appropriate on projects
  • Possibly provide leadership of concurrent projects and related multidisciplinary teams by planning, directing, coordinating, and monitoring all aspects of projects
  • Support Area Managers and other Project Principals / Project Managers with the preparation, negotiation and award of project contracts
  • Provide client oversight throughout project execution, including conformance to client expectations for technical quality, financial, and schedule performance
  • Maintain client relations following completion of projects
  • Partner with production managers to maintain and strengthen core teams executing the work

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 10 years related experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software
  • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
