As part of a sustained, multiyear, strategic growth initiative, the School of Computer Science (CS) in the Gallogly College of Engineering (GCoE) at the University of Oklahoma (OU) seeks applications for an assistant professor position in the area of software engineering with a targeted start date of Fall 2025. We particularly seek candidates whose research, teaching, and service have prepared them to be integral contributors to the advancement of our welcoming community. Candidates who fill this position should look to support OU’s strategic research verticals and GCoE’s strategic plan , and be prepared to engage in collaborative research. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience or interest in applications to aerospace / defense applications.

The School of Computer Science is growing rapidly in size and impact. We currently have 27 faculty with a wide variety of backgrounds and more than 1000 students. We have student-centric initiatives as well as vibrant research and teaching programs. We are a key partner in OU’s world-class Data Science and Analytics Institute .

Qualifications : Required :
- Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.
- Able to effectively conduct and lead research.
- Able to effectively form research collaborations.
- Able to effectively teach computer science courses at all levels.
- Able to effectively advise M.S. and Ph.D. students.
