Akkodis is seeking an Automation Engineer for a Contract To Hire job with a client in Phoenix, AZ(Hybrid) . You will be responsible for building industrial automation cells and supporting mechanical design from concept through integration.

Rate Range : $60 / hour to $85 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Automation Engineer job responsibilities include :

Program and operate Fanuc robots for industrial automation, particularly in automotive cell builds.

Develop and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC systems, with flexibility to work on other PLC platforms as needed.

Design mechanical systems using SolidWorks, from concept through detailed design, including GDT and FEA.

Integrate automation systems, collaborating across disciplines to ensure seamless mechanical and control system performance.

Support system testing, debugging, and commissioning, both onsite and at customer locations (up to 25% domestic travel).

Communicate with clients regarding electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical requirements to ensure project alignment.

Desired Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial automation or related fields.

Proficiency in Fanuc robot programming and Allen-Bradley PLC systems.

Strong mechanical design skills using SolidWorks, including experience from concept to integration.

Pay Details : $60.00 to $85.00 per hour
