Job description
Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Summary
Bring industrial automation to life—from concept to commissioning. As a Controls Engineer on our systems integration team, you’ll own complete automation solutions: control panel and electrical design, PLC/HMI/SCADA programming, debugging, acceptance testing, and start‑up at the customer site.
Responsibilities
- Design and troubleshoot electrical circuits and control panels.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs from platforms such as Allen-Bradley, GE, Automation Direct, and Siemens.
- Troubleshoot industrial networks and similar systems.
- Apply NEC codes, UL 508A standards, and general electrical design principles.
- Support typical service calls and engineer standard automation projects independently.
- Work within established project budgets and timelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure project success and high customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to quality control procedures and engineering standards throughout project execution.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external customers.
- Provide on-site support as needed to diagnose issues, implement solutions, and ensure system performance meets customer expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in PLC/HMI programming and industrial control systems
- Experience with platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, Siemens, and others
- Strong knowledge of electrical design and AutoCAD Electrical
- Understanding of NEC codes and UL 508A standards
- Excellent troubleshooting skills in control systems and industrial networks
This is a Permanent position based out of Fresno, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
