The Automation Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for resolving daily tactical issues and contributing to continuous improvement and automation initiatives in the production of bioprocessing hardware solutions.

This is an on-site position based in Shrewsbury, MA , reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The role is part of the Upstream Fluid Management (UFM) Hardware Manufacturing Engineering Team.

What you will do :

• Manufacturing Technical Expertise : Assist in troubleshooting automation software and hardware systems, contribute to the development of manufacturing tools and fixtures, and help resolve day-to-day operational issues in production.
• Cross-functional Collaboration : Support product engineering and new product automation teams in implementing and maintaining PLC, SCADA, and networking systems for bioreactor production operations across platforms like Aveva, DeltaV, and PlantPAx
• Process Readiness : Support efforts to align automation processes with manufacturing readiness for upstream bioprocessing hardware, identifying areas for improvement and sustaining production.
• Quality and Process Optimizations : Improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality by resolving automation challenges with practical, customer-focused solutions.
• Compliance Awareness Support automation activities that uphold manufacturing quality standards and meet regulatory and company requirements through aligned and reliable processes.
