Call Taker
We're hiring Call Takers that will respond to non-emergency calls for the Ride to Care Program. This person schedules transportation requests and can provide clear communication in all situations to ensure quality support and care to our customers.
EMPLOYEE STATUS : Regular : Full-time; $20.00 per hour with 90 and 180 day increases / non-exempt position.
OPEN SCHEDULES :
Schedule 1 : Mon-Thurs 08 : 30-19 : 00
Schedule 2 : Mon-Fri 15 : 30-00 : 00
REQUIREMENTS :
Education : High School Graduate or equivalent preferred but not required
Experience : Preferably 1 year in a call center or routing calls in customer service
Age : All ComTrans employees must be at least 18 years old.
Location : Must live within WA or OR and be able to commute to the office for training.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Call Takers will proficiently monitor and respond to calls and emails using established call handling time leveraging the communication and information management system to deliver excellent customer support to providers, facilities and member representatives.
- Use appropriate methods to schedule, assign, review and route transportation requests.
- Clearly document communications following protocols and processes, and properly identify and escalate issues as necessary.
- Effectively communicate trip data including confirmations, routing time, issues and performance.
- Call Takers will work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow coworkers.
- Successful Call Takers will demonstrate organization, multitasking and time management skills.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES :
Call Takers must be able to :
Communicate effectively both verbally and written in English.
Maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
Familiar with all area streets, address, direction.
Multi-task, balance workload, and demonstrate good organization skills.
Support the mission and values of the organization.
Understand customer service internally and externally.
Utilize information systems and the Microsoft Office suite of Programs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
While performing duties of this job, must be able to :
Stand, reach and extend arms
Grasp, feel objects or controls
Reach with hands and arms
Talk and hear
Able to lift at least 10 pounds
Sit for extended periods of time
Perform repetitive activities such as typing, using a telephone, computer mouse
Must have adequate visual acuity as required to perform activities such as using a telephone, viewing a computer terminal, and reading data.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS :
This position reports to the Call Center Supervisor
