About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to join their team. The CIO will be a key player in the company's mission to create a decentralized identity that is secure, interoperable, and user-friendly across various digital platforms. This founding leadership role is pivotal in defining and executing the company's information and data architecture strategy, leading the design of systems for decentralized identity, and ensuring the scalability, performance, and security of the infrastructure in a multi-chain environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, CTO, and engineering leads to align systems architecture with business goals and future ecosystem integrations.
Applicants for the CIO position should have a minimum of 7 years' experience in senior technical leadership roles, with a strong background in data infrastructure, systems architecture, or enterprise-grade InfoSec. Experience in crypto primitives, DID protocols, or decentralized storage systems is highly valued, as is a background in multi-chain systems, cross-chain messaging, and wallet integrations. The role requires a strategic thinker who can translate technical vision into business outcomes and who is comfortable engaging with the leadership team, investors, and the community on matters of data, security, and architecture. The ideal candidate will be part of a globally distributed team in a fast-moving industry and will be responsible for building and managing a world-class InfoSec / data team as the company grows.
