Why join us?
Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operations of our growing, multi-entity business. With revenues approaching $200M and operations spanning several business units—many within manufacturing—you will play a critical role in steering financial performance, optimizing operational efficiencies, and supporting strategic growth.
You will work closely with the executive team and oversee a strong finance department, including a small group of line managers and an indirect team of approximately 15. You will also manage banking relationships, oversee internal controls, and ensure the financial health of the organization as we continue to expand.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Leadership :
Oversee all financial operations across multiple entities; lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
Multi-Entity Accounting :
Ensure accurate consolidation and reporting across diverse business units with varying operational models.
Cost Accounting Expertise :
Provide leadership in standard costing, inventory valuation, margin analysis, and operational efficiency—particularly within manufacturing environments.
Team Management :
Lead and mentor a team of direct finance managers, while providing indirect oversight and development for a broader finance / accounting team of ~15.
Banking & Capital Management :
Maintain and build strong relationships with financial institutions. Oversee cash management, credit facilities, and banking compliance.
Strategic Partnering :
Partner with the CEO and executive leadership to guide business strategy, evaluate growth opportunities (M&A, CAPEX), and optimize return on investment.
Compliance & Controls :
Ensure proper financial controls, regulatory compliance, and timely audit readiness across all entities.
Qualifications :
10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience; previous CFO or VP of Finance experience in a multi-entity environment preferred.
Strong understanding of cost accounting and financial operations within manufacturing.
Experience managing a mid-sized finance team and developing high-performing teams.
Proven track record of managing external banking relationships and capital strategy.
CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
Ideal Candidate Traits :
Detail-oriented, yet highly strategic
Comfortable navigating complexity across entities and markets
Capable of rolling up sleeves when necessary in a lean team environment
Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and transparent communication style
