Electrical Technician / Programmer (Allen-Bradley PLC)
Location : Carol Stream, IL
Pay Rate : Up to $50 / hour
Schedule : Full-time, flexible start time between 6 : 00 AM – 8 : 00 AM
Hours : Guaranteed 40 hours / week with overtime available
Travel : Minimal (1–2 trips per year)
Employment Type : Direct Hire
Start Date : ASAP
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Technician / Programmer to support the design, programming, and commissioning of custom industrial machinery . This role is ideal for an experienced controls professional who enjoys working from scratch , making independent technical decisions, and owning projects from start to finish.
You’ll split your time between field wiring and controls programming , collaborating closely with electricians, mechanics, panel builders, and engineers to bring complex automated machinery to life.
Key Responsibilities
Programming & Controls (60%)
- Program Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and Servo systems from scratch
- Commission and troubleshoot automated machinery and electrical systems
- Perform remote programming and diagnostics as needed
- Make independent technical decisions and lead projects through completion
Field Wiring & Installation (40%)
