As our needs grow more sophisticated and technically complex, we seek to add more consultative and technical expertise to our Technology Consulting team to solve challenging problems through thought leadership and domain expertise.

WHAT YOULL DO

The Solutions Architect, part of the Customer Success organization and the Box Consulting team, works with customers to define and build complex solutions. This high-impact role ensures customer satisfaction while promoting Box solutions. You will build and maintain customer and partner relationships, drive product adoption, and collaborate with sales and field teams to understand customer needs, envision future states, and facilitate their achievement.

Daily tasks may include advising enterprises on designing custom document vaults or migrating millions of files into Box, as well as integrating Box into their existing systems like CRM. Technical challenges are diverse and plentiful.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a technologist passionate about applying technology to solve complex problems. You enjoy acting as a trusted advisor and change agent, collaborating across diverse teams. You are curious, eager to learn, and skilled at architecting solutions using Box configurations, APIs, SaaS technologies, and partner tools. You can communicate technical ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives and developers. You understand REST APIs and JSON, and can translate complex solutions into understandable parts.

You facilitate conversations that lead to solution architectures and strategies, support technical questions during meetings, and develop project documentation, statements of work, and technical specifications. Ultimately, you are seen as a trusted advisor whose goals align with customers’ business strategies and who owns the development and delivery of custom solutions.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of development, consulting, or professional services experience
• Comfort working in dynamic environments with ambiguity, able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Expertise in cloud architecture and system design (APIs, DevOps, infrastructure, middleware, scale, rate limits, etc.)
• Experience with Python, Typescript, Node.js (MEAN stack), Java, .NET, Visualforce
• Ability to establish technical delivery expertise based on market trends, research, and customer requirements, leading pre-sales scoping and solution delivery
• Developing and delivering repeatable solutions and best practices for industry success
• Collaborating with Sales and Customer Success teams to execute GTM strategies
• Accurately forecasting capacity and revenue targets
• Supporting bookings targets with Solutions Consultants

Preferred Skills

Box values community and collaboration. Employees are expected to work from their assigned office at least 2 days per week, focusing on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our recruiter will share more about our culture during hiring.
