Messaging Systems Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Messaging Systems Engineer with strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills. The ideal candidate will have a customer-focused mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, handling escalations, performing trend analysis, engineering solutions, and implementing process improvements to enhance system reliability and performance. The role primarily involves administering and supporting enterprise messaging and collaboration platforms.
Required Qualifications :
- 3+ years of experience managing enterprise messaging environments, including hybrid cloud and on-premises deployments
- Strong knowledge of messaging system architecture, administration, and troubleshooting
- Experience monitoring system performance, availability, and security, ensuring optimal operation and compliance with company policies
- Proficiency in performing routine maintenance tasks, such as certificate renewals, patching, and software updates
- Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to email delivery, access, and performance
- Experience with email security technologies and best practices
- Familiarity with managing and troubleshooting distribution lists, including dynamic groups and nested configurations
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting messaging connectors and integrations
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting
- Knowledge of cloud-based messaging environments and internal enterprise systems
- Ability to provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Experience developing and maintaining system documentation, procedures, and policies
- Ability to leverage technical expertise, peer knowledge, and internal resources to deliver effective solutions
- Experience in task automation and process improvement initiatives
- Availability for standard business hours, with flexibility for after-hours support, major incident management, and on-call rotation
- Willingness to stay current with industry trends and best practices, recommending system enhancements and optimizations
