Summary

  • The IT Clinical Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, testing, implementing, and troubleshooting of clinical IT systems and applications within a healthcare organization. The role involves working to develop and deploy clinical IT systems and applications – managing the implementation process and ensuring that all systems are running smoothly. The Clinical Systems Engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving escalated technical issues.Epic Radiant is Epic's radiology management solution

IT Clinical Systems Engineer I

Job Requirements

Education

Preferred: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

No Experience required

Preferred - 2 years of experience in healthcare clinical workflows and/or IT support, including experience with nursing, provider, or ancillary department technologies OR Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, a related field.

Skills

· Basic understanding of healthcare operations and clinical workflows

· Knowledge of at least one clinical IT systems, including electronic health records (EHRs), picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), laboratory information systems (LIS), and other related applications.

· Ability to follow project plans and details.

· Attention to detail in data entry and documentation.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work as part of a team.

· Willingness to learn and adapt to the healthcare environment and adapt to project specific requirements.

· Basic knowledge of project management concepts and tools.
