Salary: $130,000 - 175,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with Tactical Data Link (TDL) Military Standards to support TDL integration on platforms
• Experience as a TDL System software developer or engineer, implementing TDL Military Standards is advantageous
• AF Operational Experience as an AFSC 1C5 or 13B is beneficial
• Self-motivated with the ability to interpret complex technical documents for necessary changes to TDL Military Standards
• Initiative to self-learn and adapt to changes in TDL standards over time
• Familiarity with Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI) under development
• Background in developing software for Tactical Data Link host systems based on TDL MIL-STDs (US MIL STDs 3011, 6016, 6022, 6020)
• Extensive experience with XML, applying it in software development for TDL standards

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the USAF team recognized as the Department of Defense (DOD) lead in TDL Standards configuration management under the Joint Interoperable Tactical Command and Control Systems (JINTACCS)
• Conduct research, analysis, and development of updates to US TDL Standards to enhance data exchanges and rectify unclear requirements
• Utilize TDL system design knowledge to aid in developing and staffing change proposals across the joint TDL community
• Assist the team in addressing technical discrepancies related to Air Force, Joint, or Coalition standards and provide necessary solutions
• Participate in evaluating operational concepts and architectures that utilize current and upcoming TDL capabilities for effective information exchange
• Coordinate with USAF requirements and program offices to offer TDL technical expertise for integration into various platforms and systems
• Guide USAF system program office developers and test personnel in understanding the TDL MIL-STD structure and its implications for software development
• Offer technical input at Technical Interchange Meetings and Design Reviews as required
• Attend Joint, Bilateral, and Allied TDL meetings alongside experienced TDL analysts to represent USAF objectives and enhance understanding
• Review technical change proposals from other services and allied nations, assessing their impact on USAF platforms and providing evaluations
• Collaborate with the TDL Standards team to review interoperability test trouble reports and assist in evaluating the significance of test findings
