We are looking for a dedicated and motivated dental assistant to join our growing practice! In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the dentist and ensuring a positive experience for our patients.

Responsibilities :

  • Chairside Assistance : Assist the dentist during patient exams, procedures, and consultations.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, and sterile.
  • Help with the application and removal of dental materials (fillings, crowns, etc.).
  • Take dental x-rays (following all safety protocols).
  • Suction and hold instruments during procedures.
  • Maintain a clear field of vision for the dentist.
  • Patient Care : Greet patients warmly and make them feel comfortable.
  • Update and maintain patient dental records.
  • Schedule appointments and answer patient phone calls.
  • Provide oral hygiene instructions and education on proper dental care.
  • Explain treatment plans and answer patient questions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Administrative and Clinical Support : Sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Stock treatment rooms with necessary supplies.
  • Assist with insurance and billing processes (as applicable).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the dentist.

Qualifications :

  • Dental assistant certification (preferred) or experience in a dental setting
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Friendly, compassionate, and professional demeanor
  • Proficiency in computer software (dental practice management software a plus)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
