Job Title: DevOps Engineer 861
Location: Downey, CA 90242 (Remote)
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Assignment type: Temporary (12 months
w/ high chance of extension or hire)
Pay rate: $50-$55/hour
Responsibilities: - Lead complex DevOps implementations in product-centric environments
- Bridge dev & ops teams; improve collaboration and tooling
- Deploy/configure cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack)
- Manage Linux servers and troubleshoot distributed systems
- Script/automate solutions; manage monitoring tools
- Use config management (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt)
- Build CI/CD, monitoring, and containerized environments (Docker, LXC)
Qualifications: - 7+ years DevOps / systems / deployment experience
- Strong Linux (Slackware) and scripting/coding skills
- Experience with web/app development (HTML, CSS, JS, Java, C, Android)
- Bachelor’s in IT/Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Additional Skills and Experience: - Cloud DevOps, CI/CD, automation, security, operations
- Azure expertise (architecture, governance, policies)
- GitHub Actions for full CI/CD lifecycle
- Infrastructure as Code & automated deployments
- Linux & cloud environment troubleshooting
- Containerization (Docker, Azure Container Apps)
- Networking & secure delivery (API Mgmt, SSL/TLS, firewalls)
- Cloud security (RBAC, Managed Identity, zero-secret design)
- Monitoring (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, alerts)
- Scripting for automation & provisioning
- DevSecOps, compliance, and resilience
- Azure Architecture (3+ yrs): enterprise cloud design, governance, modernization
- DevOps Engineering (3+ yrs): full CI/CD lifecycle, GitHub migration, automation
- Security & APIs (3+ yrs): network security, API platforms, secure integrations
- Data & AI (3+ yrs, plus): DB/analytics migration, MLOps, AI deployments
