Description
SUMMARY
The Director of Quality and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring an organization's products, processes, and operations adhere to the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement an integrated quality and EHS strategy aligned with organizational goals. Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on quality, safety, and environmental matters.
- Quality Management : Establish and maintain a robust quality management system (QMS), ensuring compliance with standards like AS 9100 / AS9110.
- Ensure the FAA / EASA certificates – Production Certificate and Repair Station 145 Certificate are supported with adequate procedures and resources to assure proper compliance to regulatory requirements. Oversee quality control and assurance processes throughout the product lifecycle or service delivery.
- Assesses product specifications of the company and its suppliers and compares with customer requirements. Manage supplier quality, conduct audits, and ensure product quality requirements are met.
- EHS Management : Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures. Conduct risk assessments, hazard evaluations, and incident investigations. Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, local, state, and federal). Develop and deliver EHS training programs to employees.
- Administers the workers’ compensation claims program ensures that the corporation is following applicable laws and regulations and develops accident prevention programs
- Collaboration & Communication : Collaborate with various departments (, operations, engineering, HR) to integrate quality and EHS considerations into business processes. Communicate with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders as needed. Lead and mentor EHS and Quality teams, fostering a strong culture of safety and quality.
