The Cardiovascular Institute and the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) are seeking candidates for a full-time academic faculty position as Director of Complex Coronary Intervention. All applicants must be board certified or eligible in Interventional Cardiology, as well as eligible for Commonwealth of Massachusetts medical licensure. An academic teaching appointment at Harvard Medical School (HMS) will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities will include expertise in complex coronary interventions, including chronic total occlusion intervention (antegrade and retrograde procedures), percutaneous mechanical circulatory support, intravascular imaging interpretation and state-of-the-art PCI techniques other complex coronary lesion subset. Candidates will be expected to perform clinical outreach to establish relationships with local referring groups to grow BIDMC's complex coronary intervention referral program, contribute to the outpatient evaluation of patients and attend on the cardiology inpatient services (inpatient cardiology floor and / or cardiac intensive care unit.

The applicant is expected to be actively engaged in teaching fellows, residents and medical students, engage in clinical research activities with the interventional cardiology group, and develop a strong presence at scientific and professional society meetings, including through participation in broadcasted live case presentations. The candidate should have a demonstrated commitment to academic medicine as evidenced by a track record of scholarly activity in clinical research. 5 years of experience as an attending physician) seeking to advance their career in interventional cardiology within an elite academic quaternary care referral center. It is anticipated that the candidate will have the qualifications to enter at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.

The department will be engaged in the newly announced and exciting clinical collaboration between Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), BIDMC, and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) to establish New England's only free-standing adult inpatient cancer hospital. The collaboration will bring together world-class clinicians to deliver transformational, precision medicine in an environment solely dedicated to defying cancer.

Pay Range : $170,000 - $742,000

The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
