In this role, you will:
- Build accurate, competitive estimates for industrial electrical projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to define scope and pricing
- Partner with clients, vendors, and internal teams to clarify project details and develop scope
- Analyze labor units, cost history, and production data to strengthen estimates
- Identify risks, gaps, and value-add opportunities and communicate them clearly
- Support proposal development and bid strategy with the proposal team
- Document assumptions, clarifications, and decisions throughout the bid cycle
- Assist with contract review, negotiations, and project handoff to execution teams
- Support change orders and cost-to-complete estimates on active projects
- Contribute to improving estimating methods, tools, and standards
We're looking for someone who has:
- 23 years of estimating experience in industrial electrical, construction, or a related environment
- A bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Clear communication and a team-first mindset
- The ability to manage details, prioritize work, and stay organized
Experience with the following is a plus:
- Microsoft Excel, Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat
- Electrical fundamentals such as voltage drop, conduit fill, and ampacity
You'll be successful here if you:
- Produce accurate estimates with clear assumptions and documentation
- Communicate scope, risk, and opportunities effectively
- Help create a smooth transition from estimating to project execution
- Contribute to continuous improvement in estimating practices
Compensation and benefits:
Salary: $85,000$95,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, with bonus opportunities.
