Job Summary
Scottsdale Community College (SCC) is seeking a full-time Electrician Senior. This position will perform and provide lead oversight of journey level electrical work including the inspection, repair, installation and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and components.
Essential Functions
60% - Electrical work includes but is not limited to troubleshoot, repair, layout, install, inspect, service, and maintain electrical systems including lighting and power circuits, wire, conduit, fixtures, devices, motors, generators, transformers, control equipment, knowledge of fire alarm systems and other types of electrical equipment and components. Troubleshoots complex electrical networks up to 4160 volts. Over-see's electrical system upgrades and redesigns.
15% - Prepares and adheres to a schedule of periodic electrical system inspection and preventative maintenance
10% - Uses / inputs data into a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); performs estimates for time and material needs for in-house projects and orders bill of materials
15% - Inspects work performed by outside contractors enforcing all code requirements. Trains and supervises electrical apprentices. Other work-duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Training and Experience
High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of experience preforming electrician work equivalent to journey-level which includes lead oversight over journey level electrical work or te performance of advanced, or more technical and complex electrical work.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
