Overview

As part of the IT and Systems Administration team, this role is responsible for systems engineering support in design, process changes, testing, verification and validation of various software systems. This person will coordinate engineering activity, set requirements, and manage projects in support of the printing and manufacturing operation for Brightstar Lottery. This is an on-site role at our Lakeland Florida facility.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate Design Change and Process Change activities
  • Assess proposed Design and Process Changes for the impact to the organization; create evidence-based project proposals
  • Develop design inputs and design outputs for changes to existing product or new distributed product
  • Develop new test methods and/or alter existing test methods
  • Provide R&D support for verification, qualification, and validation studies on existing products
  • Provide R&D support for risk management activities and risk management reviews on existing products
  • Provide R&D support for non-conformance investigations regarding component failures, finished goods failures, and product returns
  • Support regulatory approvals and responses to regulatory questions for existing products
  • Ensure design change activities, processes and practices are in compliance with internal quality system requirements
  • Maintain and supplement design history files that are thorough and accurate for existing product
  • Participates in design of technical solutions, in accordance with technical standards
  • Unit Tests software
  • Provides oversight of the overall quality of the technology work and deliverable’s
  • Experience with Visual Studio Online, Team Foundation Server (TFS), Git, and Team Forge
  • Ability to install, upgrade, configure and administer Microsoft Team Foundation Server with best practice recommendations
  • Branching and Merging
  • PowerShell
  • Building and deployment best practices
  • TFS Project template customization and maintenance
  • Expertise diagnosing and debugging TFS Administrator issues
  • MS SQL report generation, manual and automated reports
  • Data Correction/Manipulation within ERP based on Production Logs
  • Provide migration support between two ERP Systems (Prism to SAP)

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is required
  • 5+ years of dedicated software engineering, sustaining engineering, systems administration or related experience
  • 3+ years of related Software Development and Lifecycle Management experience
  • Exceptional time management, project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • A high degree of professionalism and strong work ethic coupled with a sense of responsibility and integrity required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, dependability, and ability to communicate with all levels in the organization required
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and tight time constraints
  • Able to work independently, but also partner as a team player

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $40,887 - $115,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
