We are seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to address and resolve conflicts while developing strategies to improve employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for working directly with employees and leadership within the organization to explore and assist them in determining options to help resolve conflicts, problematic issues or concerns, and to bring systemic concerns to the organization's attention for resolution. This position manages and investigates employee complaints and appeals. The specialist will develop, implement, and oversee programs to increase employee satisfaction. This role works closely with the Human Resources Department to ensure that the department's strategy aligns with the organizational mission, vision, and values.
Primary Functions :
- Employee Relations : Works closely with leadership to investigate employee complaints and misconduct allegations. Makes recommendations for disciplinary action or other resolutions as needed.
- Compliance : Ensure that employment and working conditions adhere to legal compliance with local, state, and federal regulations where applicable. Process the necessary offboarding process and unemployment documentation as needed.
- Workplace Environments : Cultivates a positive workplace by managing employee grievances, resolving conflicts, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. Develop and implement programs and strategies to improve employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
- Performance Management : Assist in leadership in the Performance Management process.
- Employee Records - Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements.
- Development : Implement and create employee training programs that foster leadership development, positively impact company culture, and support all departments.
