** LOCATION: Calhan, CO PAY: $22.00-30.00/hour JOB SUMMARY: An asphalt worker is a construction professional who builds and maintains roads, driveways, and other paved surfaces by laying, spreading, and compacting asphalt materials to ensure a smooth, durable finish. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Perform asphalt paving, patching, and repair work on roads, parking lots, and surfaces * Operate paving equipment, rollers, skid steers, and other heavy machinery * Rake, spread, and smooth asphalt to proper grade and finish * Assist with site prep including grading, leveling, and compaction * Follow project plans, blueprints, and grade stakes * Ensure proper temperature handling and application of asphalt materials * Maintain tools and equipment in working condition * Follow all OSHA and jobsite safety standards ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: * Asphalt Work * Asphalt Patching * Paving, Striping, Excavating, Dump Truck Hauling * Concrete Work: Sidewalks, Curbs, Driveways, Emergency Pot Holes, Snow Removal QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
