This position provides principal secretarial support within an office setting typically assisting one individual and in some instances the subordinate staff of that individual. The Secretary maintains a close and highly responsive relationship to the daytoday activities of the supervisor and staff. The role involves working independently with minimal supervision performing various clerical and secretarial duties that require a solid understanding of office routines organizational programs and procedures. Proficiency with office software programs is required due to the presence of computers in the work environment.
- Write test and maintain code for software applications under the supervision of senior developers.
- Assist in the development of new features and the enhancement of existing functionalities.
- Participate in code reviews providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality.
- Collaborate with the QA team to develop and execute test cases identify and troubleshoot software defects and assist in creating and maintaining automated testing scripts.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for software projects ensuring clarity and consistency in documenting code changes new features and system configurations.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams including designers project managers and other developers to ensure alignment on project goals and contribute ideas and solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends programming languages and development tools; participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills.
- Seek guidance and mentorship from senior developers to improve coding practices and overall software development knowledge.
- Assist in the deployment of software applications ensuring they are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during development or after deployment.
- Contribute to project planning and estimation efforts providing input on development timelines.
- Gain proficiency in various development tools including version control systems (e.g. Git) integrated development environments (IDEs) and debugging tools.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities such as refactoring code optimizing performance and enhancing security measures.
- Provide input on improving development processes tools and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure that code meets the organization s coding standards and is thoroughly tested before deployment.
- Collaborate with the QA team to identify and address potential software vulnerabilities ensuring highquality software delivery.
- Assist with other software development tasks as needed including maintaining development environments and supporting endusers with technical issues.
- Contribute to internal tools and scripts that improve developer productivity and streamline workflows.
