Job description

Regional Government Specialist

Humanscale is the premier designer and manufacturer of ergonomic products that improve health and comfort at work. Our award-winning office products seating, sit/stand desks, technology support and lighting have led the industry in performance and simplicity for over 40 years.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with government agencies and higher education end users across the specified territory
  • Identify and assist in advancing Government sales opportunities within region
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support pricing, product selection, and project execution
  • Provide subject matter expertise in positioning and closing sales to Government agencies
  • Conduct in-person meetings with end users, partners, and dealers to identify and advance sales opportunities
  • Set up product tests or presentations
  • Represent the company at regional events, agency days, and industry or education-related meetings
  • Facilitate dealer training sessions specific to the government vertical.
  • Achieve and exceed revenue, profitability and product mix sales goals
  • Develop business plan with management for weekly, monthly and quarterly strategic sales objectives
  • Maintain accurate activity tracking, forecasting, and opportunity management in CRM systems

Strong understanding of all Humanscale's products and consulting services, including task seating, keyboard supports, flat panel monitor arms, task lighting, CPU holders and other ergonomic work tools

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree, business, marketing or communications major preferred
  • Successful sales track record
  • Ability for overnight travel regionally 25%+
  • Solid understanding of ergonomic principles, a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Skillful negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Highly motivated, with aggressive follow-up and closing skills
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Proficiency in MS Office and associated applications is required

Salary Range: $63,555 - $92.702

In addition to the salary there is a variable pay component. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline. Humanscale considers other factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market location and business considerations when extending an offer.
