Inventory Management & Reporting Intern

About the Role
Location: Hybrid | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at the Sally Beauty Support Center, Legacy West (Plano, TX); Remote Thursday or Friday
We are seeking a motivated Summer Intern to support inventory management process improvements and reporting initiatives. In this role, you will analyze current inventory workflows, identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency, and help document and implement enhanced processes.
To apply you must meet these guidelines/requirements:
- This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work three days per week at the Support Center in Legacy West, Plano, TX.
- This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
- Housing, relocation, and transportation assistance are not provided.
- Availability is required from June 1 through August 7, 2026, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Analyse current inventory management workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist in developing and documenting standardized inventory procedures and best practices.
- Create and maintain inventory reports and dashboard to track key metrics and performance indicators.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather data and support improvement efforts.
- Help implement process enhancements and change management activities.
- Prepare presentations and documentation to communicate findings, recommendations and progress to stakeholders
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements
- Ideal role for a detail-oriented student with strong analytical skills
- Basic understanding of inventory management concepts (inventory accuracy, cycle counting, stock levels, etc)
- Data analysis skills, including the ability to identify trends, discrepancies and improvement opportunities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools (formulas, pivot tables, basic data analysis)
- Experience or familiarity with reporting or dashboards (Power BI, Tableau or similar)
- Ability to document processes, workflows and standard operating procedure (SOPs)
