Salary Range : $18.00 - $20.00 / hour with an annualized salary of $32,763 - $36,403 plus competitive benefits package

The Role
The Union for Reform Judaism's (URJ) Camp Newman is seeking a reliable and hardworking Housekeeper to help maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of residential cabins, common areas, restrooms, dining facilities, and staff accommodations. This key role ensures all areas are safe, clean, and welcoming for guests, campers, and staff. The Housekeeper will work as part of the camp operations team and collaborate with colleagues to maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the property.
What You Will Do
The Housekeeper will report to the Director of Retreat Services & Site Operations and will be responsible for the following :
- Clean and sanitize accommodations, common areas, restrooms, and staff facilities year-round, ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are met.
- Follow daily cleaning schedules and collaborate with housekeeping colleagues to ensure thorough cleaning.
- Maintain cleanliness in high-traffic areas, such as restrooms and dining facilities.
- Assist with deep cleaning during seasonal transitions and address emergency cleaning tasks promptly.
- Assist with event and retreat setups, ensuring spaces are clean and organized.
- Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Report any hazards, maintenance issues, or concerns to the Lead Housekeeper or Facilities Manager.
- Maintain an organized work area, ensuring cleaning supplies and equipment are stocked and in good condition.
- Respond to urgent cleaning requests and assist with any additional duties as needed to support the team.
