Job description Jr. Software Engineer, Warner Robins, GA Support Systems Associates Inc. is a privately owned, nationwide company that specializes in engineering, logistics, production, and management services to both Government and industry. Our corporate offices are located in Melbourne, FL and a facility in Warner Robins, GA Our Warner Robins facility is located in The Park off Russell Parkway and includes office and manufacturing space to support production and maintenance of mission systems and aircraft modification kits in addition to a variety of logistics inventory needs. This operation is currently executing multiple programs with electrical fabrication, back-shop avionics equipment repairs, testing and final assembly as well as others which provide engineering and logistics services for the modification of aircraft. SSAI is certified to AS9100. SSAI’s core capabilities include mechanical, electrical, and electronic design, test, avionics engineering, software engineering, aircraft modification design/installation, modification kit production, and related logistics services. The individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks. Applicant selected is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information JOB DESCRIPTION Designs and develops software applications and solutions. Performs coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Individual should be able to work in an agile software development role. Have ability to progressively understand and be responsible for DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)/Cybersecurity, computer simulations, client-server architectures, advanced networking techniques and protocols, databases, high-order programming languages, and operating systems. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, 2 years minimum in an aviation related environment is preferred. Understanding of military specifications and certifications, engineering change process, and design modification is preferred.
